Bernadette Hillman LARTPI is a Planning solicitor with thirty years’ experience, working as a lawyer and a planner in London and the regions, in private practice and in-house.   She leads the Planning Team at Sharpe Pritchard, advising on major development, regeneration and transformation projects. Bernadette enjoys the challenge of a complex planning issue, and she explores the way forward in a pragmatic and commercially sensible way, working collaboratively as part of the delivery team.

As well as being a partner in a law firm, Bernadette is Honorary Solicitor and Secretary to the Royal Town Planning Institute and serve as their Climate Change Champion Trustee. She is also a member of the Law Society’s Planning and Environmental Law Committee.

Bernadette gives presentations regularly on planning law and related topics, most recently at the Planner Live North Conference 2022 on what Planners and Planning can do for Climate Change.
