A new partnership has been formed between the Digital Task Force for Planning and C-DICE (the Centre for Postdoctoral Development in Infrastructure Cities and Energy).

Today, a new partnership is formed between the Digital Task Force for Planning and C-DICE (the Centre for Postdoctoral Development in Infrastructure Cities and Energy).

C-DICE is a programme funded by Research England for developing the skills and careers of postdoctoral researchers through developmental opportunities for net zero. The programme has 18 university partners and is led by Loughborough University with the universities of Cranfield and Birmingham as core partners.

At Loughborough University, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Dr Wei Yang, Cofounder and CEO of the Digital Task Force for Planning, and Professor Malcolm Cook, Dean of School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering, Loughborough University.

Through the partnership, the Task Force and C-DICE wish to cooperate with the purpose of researching, developing and applying cutting edge digital research and technology for mainstream Spatial Planning practice and education, leading to transformative changes for public benefit.

Following the agreement, two postdoctoral researcher secondment opportunities have been arranged between C-DICE and the Task Force. These positions offer a unique opportunity for postdoctoral researchers with an interest in transdisciplinary research and a background in spatial planning, environmental science, geography, computer science, or data analytics.
